Can The Present Environmental Crisis Be Resolved By Adopting A Green Lifestyle?

The chief culprit triggering the current ecological crisis is man. The big question is whether the problem is the result of ignorant people, or has it been the deception of the major corporations. At the end of the day, Joe Soap is accountable for most of the irresponsible and wasteful use of our natural resources. So what can the masses do when they are at the mercy of what the powers that be put on them? Although much of the ecological balance has been hit by global warming, the impact on the ecology can be lowered by individuals by taking certain alternatives.

Significant results can be realized by adopting many of the measures from the green movement. The one answer to the problems of the environment that will be effective is going green. We cannot altogether undo what's already been done, but we can stop the crisis from developing further and possibly reverse some of the damage. To keep the crisis from becoming worse, people can start using products and procedures that are environmentally friendly. A couple of pre-requisites exist that should be met before we can have a less polluted, more sustainable planet.

Avoiding the use of throwaway materials, purchasing local produce to shorten the supply chain, keeping to a meat-free diet and looking for ways to re-use green waste are but some of these things. It's basically only a matter of each of us deciding to maintain a deliberate aim to carry out those choices. More prudent and less wasteful use of electricity and water are required if the ecological balance is to be restored. The climbing level of CO2 gas in the atmosphere has been the trigger for the environmental problem. The current environmental crisis is being added to by all of the modernized equipment, from factories, and automobiles to large farms, with all of their modern machinery.

Individuals taking to the streets over high food costs and shortages in supply, weather extremes not experienced for numerous decades, water being spoken of as the next oil and many recent natural calamities are all caused by global warming. It has become required, due to all of these devastating effects, to take some strong steps to deal with the situation thatcontinues to become worse. Getting the masses to implement green living practices is one of the more powerful alternatives available to us. The focus must shift to persuading men and women that their individual contributions, even if in little ways, will make an impact and are critical components of success on a larger scale. It is crucial for the media to get involved in persuading the public of how important it is to go green.

This may actually be the last viable method open to us, so men and women truly must rise to the challenge of making their lifestyle decisions more responsibly. Sp as to keep the environmental crisis from ruining everything, it is time to bring back the lost scruples concerning the planet. For how long can the world go on this way, unless people face facts and do their bit towards preserving the environment? Unless there is a revolutionary departure from the present ways of the world, there is no hope for the future generation.
